ABOUT THE ROLE
AFLNT are seeking Gate Attendants to join us for the Central Australian Football League 2025 Season! The Gate Attendant is to provide the service of collecting gate fees on behalf of AFLNT. We are seeking staff with effective communication and organisation skills who is positive and enthusiastic. Training will be provided in the role if necessary, as you become the welcoming face of the competition on match days.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Helping set up the gate including the POS facilities.
- Running the gate including entrance fee collection and monitoring a banned drinkers list (at grounds with liquor sales only).
- Monitoring a list of club coaching staff etc that receive free entry
- Maintaining communication with security and Match Managers during shift.
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- Strong verbal communication and public relation skills. It is very important that applicants have an even temperament and can sustain a welcoming disposition throughout their shift.
- Ensure all patrons check in to the venue.
- Remain in attendance at the gate/s to the time agreed upon with the CAFL Competition Lead.
- Ability to use Point of Sale facilities, handle cash transactions.
- Ensure all entrance fees are collected from all people entering the ground in accordance with the charges and directions of the League.
- Collect change and money bags / trays from the Match Manager and return all monies collected to the Match Manager at the end of the shift.
- Ability to work flexible hours - such as afterhours work and weekends
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to quickly establish a rapport with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and possess Conflict Resolution Skills if required.
- Working With Children accreditation
- First Aid Qualifications desirable but not essential
- All applicants must be 18+ years of age
