ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking Ball Stewards in VIC, QLD, WA and TAS, who play a crucial role in the staging of AFL and AFLW matches. This role provides important support to the AFL Football Operations and Umpiring Departments and ensures the safe and smooth running of AFL and AFLW matches on a weekly basis
We are looking for candidates with a passion for the game, available to work on a casual basis at AFL and AFLW games and available to attend online training and education meetings as they called throughout the year.
Throughout the football season (February to December) you will be rostered to attend matches on weekends which may also include working on public holidays from time to time.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
Ball Stewards are responsible for managing the footballs during a match and ensuring that footballs are always in the bag and available to come back into play immediately. Ball Stewards play a key role in ensuring footballs are brought back into play in accordance with the AFL Laws of the Game. They also play a role in the management of footballs with ball tracking technology where applicable.
