ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking organised and reliable casual Appointments Officers to support the delivery of Community Football competitions across Queensland. Working with the AFL Queensland Umpiring Department, you’ll assist with the appointment of umpires across various levels of Senior and Youth football in your Region.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
- Assist with umpire appointments for the competitions based in your Region
- Follow up umpire availability and confirmations
- Identify and fill appointment gaps
- Communicate with umpires, clubs, and AFL Queensland as required
- Support the management of late changes and withdrawals where possible
- Support broader umpiring initiatives as required
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Required
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Confidence following up availability and managing changes
- Basic computer and scheduling skills
- Flexibility in working hours is required, including occasional evenings and weekends aligned with training sessions, coach communication and team meetings
Desirable
- Experience in sport administration or scheduling
- Knowledge of Australian Football or umpiring
- Experience working with volunteers
