ABOUT THE ROLE
The Broadcast Engineer role ideally requires detailed understanding of Avid Media Composer, EVS, Adobe Creative Cloud and IP networking. Working closely with our current Broadcast Operations Manager they provide much needed support of the AFL Digital Production facility. The role encompasses a need to be able to manage the facilities’ technology infrastructure and be responsible for ensuring the facility is at optimum efficiency. They will work with the production team to support an efficient media workflow. Additionally, they will provide assistance with hardware installations and contribute to key projects within and outside of their core role. Experience with Ooyala Flex or similar will be advantageous.
Please note this is a max-term position until mid-October 2026.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with the facilities technology infrastructure
- Work alongside both the Production Team and ensure the best possible picture and sound quality
- Assist with Broadcast hardware installations
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader Digital & Media team
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of Media Asset Management software
- Comprehensive knowledge of both Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of Computer Operating Systems
- Experience with EVS storage and media transport systems
- Video Production Industry experience
- Excellent ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
