The opportunity
This is a great opportunity to build experience in the sports and events industry, supporting the delivery of sponsor branding across AFL and AFLW matches and major events.
As a Commercial Operations Coordinator, you’ll help coordinate how sponsor signage appears in stadiums and on broadcast to ensure everything is accurate, on brand, and delivered on time. You’ll work closely with internal teams, clubs, venues, and external suppliers to bring match-day and event experiences to life.
This is a casual role, offering hands-on exposure to large-scale sporting events, including the Finals series and the AFL Grand Final, and is ideal for someone looking to grow a career in commercial operations.
What you’ll own
Event & Match Day Delivery
- Support the coordination of sponsor signage across AFL, AFLW and major events (e.g. Finals, Grand Final, Gather Round)
- Assist with preparing stadiums for games, including signage setup checks and venue readiness
- Help manage signage during events to ensure everything is delivered as planned
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work with venues, suppliers (signage production partners), and internal teams to deliver signage requirements
- Support communication with AFL clubs (teams) and commercial partners (sponsors)
- Build strong working relationships to ensure smooth delivery across multiple stakeholders
Planning & Administration
- Assist with signage planning, documentation and asset tracking
- Help coordinate print production and signage layouts
- Support budgeting processes, including purchase orders and tracking costs
- Maintain accurate records to ensure all sponsor commitments are met
Team Support
- Provide day-to-day support to the Commercial Operations team
- Assist with broader commercial projects and communications as needed
