ABOUT THE ROLE
AFL Digital is currently seeking additional casual Social Media Producers for the upcoming 2026 Toyota AFL Premiership Season. This role will feature a mix of weekend and weekday/weeknight shifts, engaging and producing social content for AFL social media channels across, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube.
Experience working with Instagram and TikTok for a brand’s channel is necessary, and demonstrated experience with photo and video editing programs will be highly valued, as this will be a part of match-day duties. An understanding of the media landscape and the ability to quickly determine the correct response to a variety of situations as they arise are important.
Please note this is a casual role with shifts scheduled as needed, per the fixture. Shifts can be conducted from AFL House, or at home if required. Hours will vary but we expect approximately 10 hours per week across the season, with the potential for further opportunities across the year.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Create engaging and producing social content for AFL social media channels across Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube
- Covering AFL and AFLW matches and publishing highlights in real-time
- Creating basic graphic and video content
- Liaising with editorial team to share AFL.com.au and Womens.AFL content to relevant social channels
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- An appetite for engaging with passionate fans and an ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong passion for and knowledge of AFL and its players, sound communication and writing skills, and proven experience within the social media landscape
- Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro
