ABOUT THE ROLE
As Social Projects Lead, you’ll oversee the planning, execution and delivery of key social media creative projects that connect fans with the game year-round. You’ll manage timelines, stakeholders, support the respective channel strategies. and creative workflows, ensuring campaigns run smoothly from briefing to delivery.
You’ll manage content producers (editors and designers) to bring the ideas of the broader social team to life, occasionally creating content yourself to shape assets or support delivery under tight turnarounds.
With strong organisational skills and a finger on the pulse of social media trends and production workflows, you’ll help steer projects that celebrate clubs, players, fans and the moments that matter most.
We will be closed for our annual closure period from December 22 2025, returning January 12 2026. Over this closure period, applications will not be responded to during this time.
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- Proven experience (minimum five years) in social media content creation across key social media platforms, particularly Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
- Previous experience as an end-to-end people leader that managed direct reports
- Knowledge and understanding of key social media platforms and their best practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality output
- Hands-on experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e Premiere Pro, Photoshop)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to manage and deliver creative projects to tight deadlines
- Confident communicator with strong organisational and time management skills
Desired:
- A passion and strong understanding of the AFL and storytelling
- Experience facilitating and producing live content directly to social media platforms such as YouTube and TikTok
