The opportunity
Marvel Stadium is one of Australia’s premier sporting and entertainment venues, welcoming millions of visitors each year for AFL matches, major events and daily precinct activities. As Stadium and Precinct Services Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, secure and seamless operation of Marvel Stadium, AFL House and the surrounding precinct.
Working in a 24/7 operational environment, you'll be the central coordination point for access control, security monitoring, building systems and incident response. You'll provide on-shift leadership, make real-time operational decisions and work across security, facilities and event operations to maintain continuity and deliver exceptional venue experiences.
What you’ll own
This is a hands-on operational leadership role where you'll balance security, safety, systems oversight and stakeholder coordination to keep a world-class venue running smoothly.
You’ll add value through:
- Leading on-shift operations within the Service Entry control function
- Monitoring and responding to security risks, incidents and operational issues across the stadium and precinct
- Coordinating access control activities including pedestrian, vehicle and restricted area access
- Operating CCTV, access control and integrated building management systems
- Monitoring critical infrastructure and escalating faults or issues to the appropriate teams
- Acting as a key responder during incidents, emergencies and alarm activations
- Coordinating contractor security personnel and providing clear operational direction
- Maintaining accurate operational records, reports, handovers and incident documentation
- Supporting event day preparation, venue readiness and operational delivery
- Managing control room activities and overseeing system transitions during events
- Supporting car park operations and after-hours site activity
- Collaborating with internal teams, service providers and emergency services to maintain safe and efficient operations
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating security, control room or operational teams
- Experience working within 24/7, high-volume or complex operational environments
- Proven experience operating CCTV, access control systems, building management systems or similar technology platforms
- Strong capability to assess risk, make sound decisions and respond effectively in real-time situations
- Experience coordinating contractors, service providers or operational teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders
- High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting, record keeping and systems management
- Ability to manage competing priorities and remain composed in high-pressure environments
- Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to work independently
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on operational excellence and team effectiveness
- Current Victorian Security Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
- Experience in stadium, venue or major event environments will be highly regarded
