The opportunity
The Club Membership Operations Coordinator helps deliver accurate, reliable and consistent membership operations that support AFL Clubs to provide great experiences for their members.
Working within the AFL’s shared service model, you will support the execution of core membership processes across key phases of the membership cycle, ensuring work is completed accurately, on time and in line with defined standards.
This is an operational role supporting a defined group of clubs under the guidance of the Club Membership Operations Lead, with a strong focus on quality, process discipline and day-to-day delivery.
This is a max-term contract role based at AFL House in Melbourne, through to early 2027.
What you’ll own
You will play an important role in helping membership operations run smoothly, particularly during high-volume and peak periods.
You’ll add value through:
- Delivering accurate and timely membership operations across key phases of the membership cycle
- Supporting fulfilment, member entitlements, member access and payment plan administration to agreed service standards
- Assisting with membership system setup and maintenance, including product builds, inventory management and data updates
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy, consistency and quality across operational processes
- Identifying and escalating issues, risks and process inconsistencies in a timely manner
- Providing practical support to clubs on membership system queries within established guidelines
- Protecting data integrity through accurate record management, reporting and compliance practices
- Collaborating with team members to manage workloads and meet deadlines during peak periods
- Contributing to continuous improvement through feedback, process adherence and disciplined ways of working
- Supporting the successful delivery of membership programs across a defined group of AFL Clubs
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
- Experience following structured processes and delivering consistent outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical capability and confidence working with databases, CRM platforms or similar systems
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships with stakeholders
- Experience providing operational, membership, ticketing, customer service or administrative support
- Confidence working within established processes and taking direction from senior team members
- Commitment to teamwork, accountability and delivering reliable outcomes
- Ability to identify issues and escalate them appropriately when required
- Willingness to learn and develop expertise in membership operations and systems
Ideally you will have
- Experience using membership or CRM platforms such as Ticketmaster Archtics or similar systems
- An understanding of AFL Clubs or sporting environments
- Experience providing database support in a helpdesk or membership-based environment
