The opportunity
 
The Digital Producer plays an important role in delivering outstanding fan experiences across the AFL’s digital ecosystem. Working within the Product and Insights team, this role helps drive audience growth, strengthen fan engagement and support commercial outcomes across AFL, AFLW and Club digital platforms.
 
You will work across a diverse range of digital initiatives, supporting mobile apps, websites, email campaigns and other digital products. Partnering with stakeholders across the business and the football industry, you will help translate business needs into effective digital solutions while ensuring the smooth operation of AFL digital products.

What you’ll own
 
You’ll contribute to the delivery, optimisation and day-to-day operation of AFL digital experiences, helping connect fans with the game in meaningful and innovative ways.
 
You’ll add value through:
 
  • Supporting digital requests from across the business, including managing workflows, prioritisation and delivery planning
  • Maintaining the day-to-day operation of AFL digital products, ensuring reliable and consistent performance
  • Acting as a key point of contact for AFL Clubs, coordinating requirements and delivering practical digital solutions
  • Supporting digital campaigns, commercial initiatives, EDM distributions and project delivery across multiple channels
  • Translating business requirements into clear, actionable plans and recommendations
  • Managing digital projects and campaigns to agreed scope, timelines and quality standards
  • Identifying operational risks, issues and opportunities for improvement and escalating where required
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of digital processes, workflows and operational efficiency
  • Supporting audience growth, fan engagement and commercial outcomes through effective digital execution
  • Maintaining quality standards across web, app, email and mobile platforms
  • Using analytics and insights to improve digital performance and inform decision-making
  • Leveraging technology and AI to enhance efficiency, innovation and delivery outcomes
 
 
What you’ll bring
 
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a digital production or digital delivery role
  • Experience working with enterprise CMS platforms and digital channels including web, email, mobile and social
  • Strong digital project management capability with a proven track record of delivering outcomes on time and within scope
  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills, including strong documentation practices
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working successfully within agile or cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Confidence managing competing priorities and responding to changing business needs
  • Understanding of Google Analytics, SEO and digital performance optimisation (desirable)
  • Awareness of emerging digital trends, technologies and industry developments (desirable)
  • Sound judgement, collaboration and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
