The opportunity
 
The Senior Digital Producer plays a critical role in delivering outstanding digital experiences that help fans connect more deeply with Australia’s game. Working at the intersection of audience engagement, digital innovation and commercial outcomes, this role helps shape how the AFL delivers content, products and experiences across its digital ecosystem.
 
As a key member of the Digital Operations team, you will lead the planning, prioritisation and delivery of digital initiatives across AFL platforms. Partnering closely with Product, Technology, Commercial, Marketing and Content teams, you will translate business needs into scalable digital solutions while ensuring high-quality execution, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What you’ll own
 
You’ll play a central role in ensuring AFL digital products and experiences are delivered efficiently, effectively and with the fan at the centre of every decision.
 
You’ll add value through:
 
  • Leading the intake, prioritisation and delivery of digital requests across the business, balancing fan, commercial and operational needs
  • Delivering campaigns, features and enhancements across web, app, email and emerging digital platforms
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation of AFL digital products to ensure reliability, quality and consistency
  • Partnering with stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Clubs, Product and Technology to provide clear delivery pathways and practical advice
  • Translating complex requirements into clear, scalable delivery plans and solutions
  • Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and training for seasonal and casual digital team members
  • Assisting with rostering, shift coverage and monitoring workforce capacity and capability requirements
  • Identifying delivery risks, operational challenges and improvement opportunities, and driving effective resolution
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives across digital production processes, workflows and documentation
  • Optimising digital experiences to support audience growth, engagement and commercial performance
  • Using analytics, insights and emerging technologies to inform decisions and improve outcomes
  • Leveraging technology and AI to enhance efficiency, innovation and the delivery of digital initiatives

 

What you’ll bring
 
  • 5–8+ years’ experience in digital production, digital delivery or product-focused environments
  • Proven experience delivering complex digital initiatives across multiple channels
  • Experience working with enterprise CMS platforms and managing digital ecosystems spanning web, app, email and social channels
  • Strong ability to prioritise competing demands and make sound delivery decisions in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively
  • Strong planning, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Experience working within agile or cross-functional delivery teams
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Experience using analytics and insights, including tools such as Google Analytics, to optimise performance
  • Understanding of SEO, personalisation and digital marketing practices
  • Awareness of emerging digital trends, technologies and opportunities
  • A collaborative approach, sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement
