ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Solutions Architect serves as a solutions expert, developing advanced end-to-end solution architecture for highly complex and significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders. The role is accountable for delivering current-state architecture and identifying options for future-state architecture and is involved in governance of initiatives delivery to ensure meets architecture requirements.
Additionally the role has responsibility for our Mulesoft platform including ongoing development and support.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and document business solutions for projects, ensuring effective stakeholder management with internal and external contacts to ensure a strong and clear understanding of the project objectives, provide clear and regular feedback on project progress and successfully implement these initiatives.
- Manage the Solution Architecture team and function to ensure alignment to standards and allocation of resources to initiatives/projects as appropriate.
- Lead the Architecture Review Board (ARB) - the central technology architecture decision forum for the AFL.
- Partnering with Data Engineering team on data architecture and integration decisions
- Provide subject matter expertise for reporting, data sources, system integration, databases and technical business processes.
- Governance of vendors in the delivery of solutions (as appropriate) e.g. Mulesoft development
- Document solution architecture options for consideration
- Other ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required.
- Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader team
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture or technical design and analysis and knowledge of Solution Architecture development, information and technology architecture concepts, including experience in ERP platform integration and configuration.
- 5+ years of hands-on integration experience, preferrable with the Mulesoft integration Platform
- Demonstrable experience with architecture principles, standards and approaches such as TOGAF and SAFe.
- Experience in the facilitation of groups during planning and design activities & change management activities, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with external solution and managed service providers in the review and delivery of solutions in line with architecture standards and delivery frameworks.
- Stakeholder management across internal teams, AFL clubs & vendors
- Demonstrable experience in managing a cross functional team which skills spanning solution architecture, design, integration.
- Bridging the gap between business users and technical teams.
