ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious communications and content all-rounder to join the AFL Queensland media team on a casual basis.
We’re looking for someone to help us promote and grow community football through the use of great video, photo and visual content. We want someone who is passionate about engaging audiences and understands the world of digital and social media. If you enjoy finding and telling compelling stories, this is a role that could propel your career forward.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the Queensland media team in ensuring AFL Queensland’s communication activity is delivering on the objectives of the business by promoting community football across the state, engaging target audiences effectively and growing the game’s audience base
- Create and publish content, including video, photo, graphic and text-based content
- Identify opportunities to develop and tell stories through owned and earned channels
- Ensure that communications activity and content is brand compliant

- Passion for video and photo content with a solid understanding of how to produce and create quality content
- Experience working with website content management systems and content creation programs, such as Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent)
- Comfortable being part of a team and dealing with an array of stakeholders
- Has an ability to work autonomously and proactively
- Possesses a high attention to detail
- Strong football knowledge with an understanding of the AFL Queensland landscape
