Participation Coordinator

- Managing relationships with AFL Victoria, Auskick Coordinators, School Ambassadors, AFL Clubs, community groups, leagues and clubs
- Coordinating the delivery of NAB AFL Auskick, with a focus on programme quality and participation growth
- Recruiting and supporting Auskick Coordinators
- Working with teachers, schools and programme stakeholders to grow the School Ambassador network
- Supporting the training and education of casual staff delivering AFL programmes
- Coordinating school programme bookings and delivery across key participation segments
- Supporting School Football pathways and helping more participants connect with the game
- Delivering Footy4Fun to support the transition and retention of community football participants
- Growing participation in new and emerging markets and engaging diverse communities
- Aligning player appearances with programme activity to support participant growth and retention
- Contributing to key projects and the success of the broader team
- One to two years’ experience in a similar role or field
- Strong customer service and relationship management capability
- Well-developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
- The ability to negotiate, mediate and resolve competing interests constructively
- Demonstrated ability to work towards and achieve targets
- Strong planning and administration skills, including experience using Microsoft software
- The ability to establish priorities and coordinate multiple tasks to achieve objectives
- A collaborative approach and the ability to contribute diverse thinking and ideas
- The capability to support change and take initiative in a fast-moving environment
- A degree in Sports Management, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience, is desirable
- Knowledge of AFL Victoria development programmes and their impact on the sports industry is desirable
