The opportunity

 

Play a key role in growing Australian Football across Greater Sydney by delivering high-quality participation programs and creating positive first experiences for players and communities.

 

As Participation Coordinator – Greater Sydney, you’ll support the delivery of AFL programs across schools, clubs and community settings, helping drive participation growth and engagement. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered safely, consistently and to a high standard, while contributing to broader team outcomes.

 

This is a permanent full-time opportunity.

 

 

What you’ll own

 

You’ll support the delivery and growth of participation programs that are engaging, accessible and aligned to AFL standards.


You’ll add value through:

 

  • Supporting junior clubs and Auskick and Superkick centres to strengthen recruitment, volunteer engagement and local delivery
  • Delivering AFL programs across schools and community settings, including curriculum-linked and after-school programs
  • Driving program bookings and participation growth through proactive engagement and planning
  • Delivering promotional activities, including school assemblies and community engagement initiatives
  • Ensuring all programs are delivered in line with curriculum and safety standards, creating positive participant experiences
  • Building and maintaining relationships with schools, teachers and key stakeholders
  • Supporting AFL player appearances and fan engagement activities
  • Contributing to broader team priorities and initiatives that support participation growth

 

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • Experience delivering programs or activities involving children and young people
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across a range of audiences
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound organisational and administrative capability with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders such as schools, clubs or community groups
  • A practical approach to problem-solving and program delivery
  • Understanding of community sport or participation environments (desirable)
