ABOUT THE ROLE
The Programs Coordinator (AFL Nines) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery and operations of four year-round AFL Nines competitions across Greater Sydney: Bat and Ball (Moore Park), Lane Cove, Marrickville, and Narrabeen.
The role focuses on driving the recruitment and retention of teams across all competitions, while continually enhancing and elevating the game-day experience to support sustained growth and engagement. The successful candidate will also provide administrative support and assist in the setup and delivery of Spring competitions, with a specific focus on new club-delivered programs.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
- Drive the recruitment and retention of teams across Greater Sydney AFL Nines competitions
- Enhance and elevate the player experience at all assigned competitions
- Provide troubleshooting support for all PlayHQ and Play.AFL issues, liaising with national product leads and customer service teams to ensure timely resolution
- Monitor and implement new PlayHQ centre requests for AFL Nines competitions across NSW/ACT
- Support PlayHQ centre setup for new seasons, ensuring all centres maintain accurate and up-to-date data
- Lead and manage Greater Sydney AFL Nines Competition Managers to deliver high-quality competitions and uphold delivery standards
- Oversee AFL Nines signage, umpire uniforms, and equipment across NSW/ACT
- Assist regional teams in preparing and delivering club-based AFL Nines competitions, including registration readiness
- Support the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of AFL Nines umpires
- Coordinate AskNicely surveys and provide insights and feedback to participation teams
- Support growth of AFL Nines outside of the traditional year-round competition format, i.e. one day events, corporate days, etc.
- Contribute to broader program and business priorities as required
