ABOUT THE ROLE

 

The Competition Coordinator – South Coast is responsible for providing effective and efficient administration support to the Community Football Competitions in the Sapphire Coast and South Coast Regions of Southern NSW. Importantly, this role will be key member of a ‘HUB’ team environment executing our Community Football Competitions.

 

Please note that this role will be based in Wollongong and is a 12-month maximum-term contract. 

 

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF

 

  • Provide administrative support to leagues and competitions
  • Contribute positively to the new ‘HUB’ environment and provide regional support, as well as provide specialist support in a designated area of football operations to all Leagues in the geography 
  • Manage Play HQ including competition management, transfers and permits 
  • Manage league events and meetings, including presentation nights, season launches and other functions
  • Manage fixture process and fixture implementation  
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of all League match day paperwork 
  • Update scores, results and ladder through Play HQ and League websites and social media
  • Maintain League websites and social media
  • Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role
  • Support and contribute to the success of the broader team
  • Support and oversee the workload of the AFL NSW/ACT Sportsready Trainee employed to the Wollongong office
  • Support the delivery of clubs’ themed round activations

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to travel to regions where leagues are played
  • Due to the nature of this role, travel to Regional Competitions is required
